FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Father's Day got off to a fast start for a lot of families in the Valley. More than 500 people took part in the 49th annual Father's Day Run in Woodward Park on Sunday morning.
The event is the oldest one of its kind on the West Coast. It offers a 6- or 2-mile run, or a 2-mile walk. Many participants completed the race as teams with their dad in honor of the holiday.
All the proceeds will go to Fresno City College track and field. The team is trying to pay for new uniforms for the first time since 1995.
