Flooding closes major Merced County highway once again

The CHP shut down Highway 59 in Merced County because of flooding Saturday morning.

Mariposa Creek is overflowing its banks again, just as it did earlier this month.

Caltrans closed the major connector between Los Banos and Merced for ten days earlier this month and just opened it back up on Thursday, but it's closed again as of 6:45 a.m.
