Chef Shayna's Overnight Slow Cooker Oatmeal
Chef Shayna shows us how to make delicious oatmeal that won't require any cooking time in the morning.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The new year is here and that means many of us are on diets. Here is a recipe for a healthy breakfast that won't require any cooking time in the morning.

Overnight Slow Cooker Oatmeal:

Ingredients:

1 apple chopped

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 cup brown sugar

1 cup steel cut oat or old-fashioned rolled oats

1 cup milk

1 cup water

Directions:

1. Layer ingredients into a slow cooker in the order listed. Cook on low for 7-8 hours.

2. Serve with chopped fruits, nuts, raisins, or milk.
