SELMA, California -- Plenty of families make them at home, but in case you're getting a late start, Sal's is making sure you have some tamales on the dinner table.
Tamales are a 74 year family tradition for Sal's Mexican Restaurants using their grandmothers recipe. They're accepting orders through December 22nd, but order fast because they are expecting to sell out.
Sal's homemade tamales are unique because of the masa, meat and chiles. The recipe reflects the influences from Zacatecas and Jalisco.
Sal's has locations in Selma, Fresno and Madera.
