Local restaurants gear up for a holiday favorite; tamales

SELMA, Calif. (KFSN) -- Christmas is nearly here and soon the smell of tamales will fill many households in the Valley.

While some gather in the kitchen to hand make tamales, local restaurants are also gearing up for a busy season.

This season, many Valley families will gather in the kitchen to hand make tamales and local restaurants -- like Sal's Mexican Restaurant -- are also gearing up for a busy season.

At Sal's they follow the tradition of making tamales with a group of people, each with a different task. The restaurant will make 30-thousand tamales this season.
