Make Believe, a wine event to raise money for Storyland-Playland

Part of the community is rallying to help restore one of Fresno's historic amusement parks, Storyland-Playland.

Just a few months ago, the decision was made to keep the carnival rides in Playland closed this year. The Storyland side is set to open in September.

In just two days, the Toca Winery will be hosting hundreds of people who are trying to help Storyland and Playland come back to life.

An evaluation of the parks shows about $850-thousand in repairs are needed. Board members say if every recipient gave just $3 dollars to the cause, Storyland would meet the $850,000 dollars that's needed to reopen.
