Accused Fresno County serial arsonist pleads no contest to 10 counts of felony arson

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Accused serial arsonist Michael Hamilton plead no contest to 10 counts of felony arson Wednesday.

Hamilton was connected to dozens of fires across Fresno County dating back to 2012. He was eventually arrested during a traffic stop back in 2015 and originally faced 30 counts of arson, before 20 of those were dropped.

Hamilton is due back in court in October for sentencing. He was facing up to 57 years in prison ahead of the counts being dropped.
