Authorities investigate homicide in Fresno County orchard
The Fresno County Sheriff's Office is investigating a homicide.

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Fresno County Sheriff's Office is investigating a homicide in the Three Rocks area.

Deputies say a worker found a man's body in an almond orchard near Clarkson and Derrick avenues just after 8 a.m. Sunday. They believe he was shot to death sometime during the night. The victim has not been identified, but he's described as a Hispanic man in his late-20s to early-30s, who's about 5'6" tall and weighs 160 pounds.

Authorities say the body was about a half mile out in the orchard, so it would have been hard for passersby to see what was happening from the road. But they're still asking anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in the area to contact the sheriff's office at (559) 600-3111.
