FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Two Fresno business owners are accusing a group of police officers of illegally taking $100,000 from them while investigating an alleged illegal gambling ring. They've filed a lawsuit against the city and the officers.

That group of officers includes former Detective Derik Kumagai, who pleaded guilty Monday to a federal charge of taking a $20,000 bribe from a drug dealer in a separate case.

According to the lawsuit, Fresno police raided the plaintiffs' homes and their business on Sept. 10. Kumagai had a warrant to search the locations, but the plaintiffs claim that approximately $131,000 was seized from their automated teller machine business.
