Man shot in the leg in northwest Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A man is recovering from a gunshot wound to his leg after an overnight attack in northwest Fresno.

Fresno police say the shooting happened at a home on College and Birch Avenues in the Pinedale area around 2:00 am.

Officers said the victim, a man in his late 60s or 70s, was shot in the leg. He is expected to recover.

Investigators found shell casings in the roadway. Police have not yet released a description of a suspect.
