FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fresno State Bulldogs Athletics announced that Head Football Coach Jeff Tedford met the current football staff and told them they will not be retained for the 2017 football season.

"I would like to thank Coach Eric Kiesau and his staff for the hard work they have put forth during a difficult season," said Tedford. "Their dedication to their craft and tireless effort to keep their team engaged was commendable."

"As we move forward, I felt it was best for this program to have a fresh start as we start to build for the future."

A national search is underway to fill all of the positions and they hope to fill the positions by early December, Fresno State announced on Monday.
