Fuel tanks break out in flames in Porterville

PORTERVILLE, Calif. (KFSN) -- Tulare County fire officials are investigating after putting out fuel tank fires in Porterville.

Several of the tanks broke out into flames around 10 p.m. on Monday, in the area of Road 200 and Avenue 128.

Several fire trucks were called out to fight the fire, but they have since put the flames out and have left the scene.

It's believed the tanks belonged to a nearby farming operation.
