Early results show Golden Valley USD board members likely recalled

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Initial results show voters overwhelmingly voted to recall three members of the Golden Valley Unified School District Board: Carla Neal, Kathleen Crumpton, and John Mosely.

The recall effort started after the three board members voted to release superintendent Andrew Alvardo in February -- just months after two of them were elected to their first terms.

Voters voted to replace them with Mona Diaz, Maria Knobloch, and Brian Freeman. The registrar believes it will only take a week or two to certify the results. New board members will be sworn in at the first meeting after that.
