Adventist Health already has a partnership with Cerner, a multi-billion dollar healthcare technology company based in Kansas City, Missouri.

Representatives from both companies say that business relationship is expanding, by Cerner taking over management of Adventist's revenue cycle and clinical applications IT staff.

In the Central Valley, the change means more than 300 employees in Selma, Hanford, and Reedley will now work for Cerner.

"We're expanding our partnership with Cerner to innovate more quickly to improve our patients' experience," said Andrea Kofl, president of Adventist Health services in the central San Joaquin Valley. "The change affects 320 team members in the Valley, all of whom are receiving job offers from Cerner and will continue to be part of our family."

Adventist says employees will be paid the same or higher, and their benefits will change. They say Cerner offers health plans, paid leave, and retirement.

According to a state report, the major employment change will become official on April 1st.

Other Adventist locations in Northern and Southern California will also make the change on that date.
