Workout Wednesday: Rethink your drink

Finding the right drink to compliment your health. (KFSN)

When we are trying to cut calories and drop a few pounds let's think about what we're drinking. All of these beverages are high in sugar and loaded with chemicals so we might want to rethink our drink.

Our food alone should be all we need to maintain proper nutrition. These drinks are high in empty calories making it hard to lose weight or keep the weight off.

Let's look at this "lemonade" drink. There are zero natural flavors. It is full of chemicals to color, flavor, and sweeten it. Then let's look at a sports drink like Power Aid. It's full of sugar, dyes, and again artificial preservatives, with maybe a hint of one or two electrolytes so they can claim to quickly hydrate you.

So next time you reach for a drink how about you go for good old H2O. Water is always our best choice for a refreshing drink.
