Workout Wednesday: Surviving through a healthy lifestyle
Rhonda Murphy shows us how a routine can help reduce your risk of breast cancer.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Did you know that breast cancer is the second most common type of cancer in women in the U.S. and will affect 1 in 8 women at some point in their lives?

The good news is that many women will survive this deadly disease if found and treated early, and a healthy lifestyle filled with exercise and good nutrition may help you reduce your risk. Physical activity plays an important roll in not only physical well being, but mental health as well. Being active, moving our bodies, releases stress, clears the mind and helps you keep a positive attitude.

Begin at your own fitness level. Do a combination of aerobic and strength training exercises. Start slow and as you feel stronger increase your level. It doesn't matter how inactive you have been, or how out of shape you feel, physical activity can help you feel stronger, think stronger, and survive.
