If your goal is to get into shape, the most important piece of equipment you should have at home is a set of dumbbells.

If your goal is to get into shape, the most important piece of equipment you should have at home is a set of dumbbells.

I would start with three sets with a light weight for your smaller muscles, a medium weight for the majority of your workout and heavy weight for your legs.

Dumbbells are the most versatile piece of equipment you can use. If you want to tighten and tone your arms, dumbbells are ideal. Some examples of great arm exercises are:

- Bicep Hammer

-Triceps Kick

- Front Shoulder Raise

Want to work on strengthening your legs, just move the weights over your torso and load your thighs. Some thigh/leg exercises are:

- squats

- lunge

Using dumbbells, you can easily transfer the motion from one body part to another.

Dumbbells would be the number one first piece of equipment I would get for my home.
