Girl Scout cookies arrive in mega drop

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- It's Girl Scout cookie season again. On Saturday, local troops received their cookies as part of the mega drop.

"We will process over 15,000 cartons of them with 12 boxes of cookies in each carton, so we're well over 150,000 boxes of cookies just here," Girl Scouts of Central California CEO Cathy Ferguson said.

Girls this year will have the cookies on a direct sale, which means you'll get the treats right when they're sold. Girl Scouts will start setting up booths at local stores on Feb. 19.

And new this year is a gluten-free cookie. Trios include chocolate chips, real peanut butter and certified gluten-free whole grain oats. Those and all your other favorites will be sold for $5 a package.
