Petition created to save Visalia skate park

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- South Valley skaters are hoping to save a skate park many put time and money into with some help online. Skateboarders have created an online petition to save Skate-Fe in Visalia.

Several residents spent the last two years building up the park, with permission from the property's owner. But that owner lost the land to the bank and is putting the property up for sale.

The group hopes to get 10,000 signatures to show the bank how the skate park has become part of the community. So far, they've received about half that.
