FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A Central Fresno intersection is back open after an early morning accident. Fresno police say a motorcyclist collided with a car at Fresno Street and Shields Avenue around 6:30 a.m. Saturday. Firefighters at a nearby station heard the crash and arrived first on scene.
Police say the man was taken to Community Regional Medical Center with significant injuries. The driver of the car was not injured.
The roadway was closed for several hours while investigators reconstructed the crash. Police say it appears to be an accident, but the cause is still under investigation.
