FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Video from a firefighter's helmet camera captured a dramatic structure fire in west central Fresno early Wednesday morning.

When crews arrived, a large outbuilding was on fire behind a home on Feland Avenue near McKinley. When a fire captain went to take a closer look, a horse ran out of the burning barn.

The animal was on fire with a saddle on its back. A firefighter quickly put out the flames as the horse ran by, but the animal had to be put down because of its injuries.

The fire caused about $10,000 worth of damages.

The exact cause is still unknown, but investigators say there was evidence of people living in the barn with faulty electrical wiring.
