FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Wednesday was International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and it was marked in Fresno with a new partnership between the Mexican Consulate and Centro La Familia.
The two agencies signed a memorandum of understanding stating they will help anyone who approaches them with issues related to domestic violence. "We signed an agreement with Centro La Familia in order to help and give info to the community. We think we can lower the rates after we work with the community," said Vicente Snchez, Consul of Mexico.
Centro La Familia Advocacy Services is a community-based, non-profit organization serving low-income families in Fresno County.
