Snyder attended a hearing Monday morning at the Fresno County Superior Court. The judge said 10 people submitted letters opposing Snyder's place in Downtown Fresno.

Last month, the Department of State Hospitals suggested he live at the El Muir Hotel on G Street in Downtown Fresno, saying it is within the jurisdiction of the Fresno Police Department.

Snyder was released from Coalinga State Hospital in August. Fourteen years ago, a judge deemed him a sexually violent predator. Saying he was a sex offender with a diagnosed mental disorder.

Even though Snyder served the time for his crimes, he was committed to the state hospital for treatment. Last year, a judge gave him a conditional release.

We tried to speak with Snyder as he walked out the courtroom, but he did not comment.
