Fresno students join up with professional ballet company to perform Romeo and Juliet
The gift of ballet is being shared with the community of Kingsburg.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The gift of ballet is being shared with the community of Kingsburg. Students at Northwest Studio, along with a professional ballet company from Santa Barbara, ran through act 1 and 2 of "Romeo and Juliet" Monday night.

About 1,400 students, parents, and chaperones in Kingsburg will get to see the show onstage free of charge. It is all thanks to a donation from the Larry L. Hillblom Foundation.

Yukari Thiesen, the Artistic Director of the Valley Performing Arts Council, said, "It is very exciting. I was very encouraged to know that many people want to see classical ballet."

You can catch the ballet in Fresno on March 3rd at the William Saroyan Theater-- the show starts at 6:30 p.m.
