FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A Corcoran boy was critically injured in a boating accident at Lake Kaweah. Jonah Panduro is in a medically induced coma, fighting for his life.

Since Sunday, every moment of Jonah Panduro's life has been supported by machines.

"I want to take him home," his dad, Bruce said, "I want to be able to hold his hand."

Bruce has been by his son's side, in the hospital, hoping and praying for 3 days. So has his Jonah's mom, Lisa Barrel, "I know he can't see me, but I know he can probably hear me so I just don't want him to be afraid."

Jonah is in a coma. His skull is fractured and open to reduce swelling. The last time he was awake, he was on an inner tube at Lake Kaweah.

"I said, go ahead Jonah, just go," Lisa Barrel said, "that was the last time I got to talk to him."

Barrel says the inner tube was being pulled by her husband's new boat, the front end went under water and a metal loop snapped off of the tube, "Blood was everywhere and that's when I seen that piece in his head," Lisa Barrel added.

Doctors removed the piece of metal but it damaged Jonah's brain.

"They keep telling us that they're running out of options," Lisa Barrel said.

Her son is just 12-years-old. He's hanging on to life and every moment that goes by, is critical, "It's just Jonah, he has to fight for his life, it's up to him now."

The family is asking for support through prayer and positive thoughts. On Friday, in Corcoran, there will be a candle light prayer for Jonah on Orange and Dairy, starting at 8:30 pm.
