Man arrested on charges of child molestation, providing a minor alcohol

MERCED, Calif. (KFSN) -- Merced police say a 15-year-old girl came to police accusing 36-year-old Richard Cervantes of offering her alcohol while he was drinking.

The victim says while she was sleeping Cervantes touched her underneath her clothing.

Police say when they questioned Cervantes he admitted to giving her liquor, massaging the victim's feet and wrestling with her on a couch.

He's now been arrested and booked into the Merced County Jail.
