Man hit and killed by car on HWY 99 in west central Fresno, CHP says

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A man has died after being hit by a car in west central Fresno Saturday morning.

Officers with the California Highway Patrol say it happened around 6 am near Highway 99 and Belmont Avenue.

The man was hit by at least two cars and authorities pronounced him dead at the scene.

Drivers did stop and are cooperating with investigators.

It is unknown if drugs or alcohol were factors in the collision.
