VISALIA, Calif. (KFSN) -- One man is in police custody after running and hiding from police for more than 24 hours.

Visalia police say Dell Baker was contacted by gang suppression unit officers near Ben Maddox Way and Douglas Avenue. When officers arrived Baker threw a loaded gun and ran from police.

A day later, Baker was found by a K-9 unit near Central Street and Tulare Avenue.
