Man killed, teen shot during family disturbance in southeast Fresno, police say

Witnesses said the victims had walked out to the street before gunfire erupted.

Man killed, teen shot during family disturbance in southeast Fresno, police say
Fresno police are investigating after a man and a teen were shot in southeast Fresno on Thursday night.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A family disturbance in southeast Fresno ended with one man dead and a teenager in the hospital.

Officers found 36-year-old Miguel Carrillo shot to death outside his home at Church and 10th around 11:30 on Thursday night.

A 17-year-old boy was also hit by gunfire.

The teen was rushed to the hospital and is expected to survive.

Witnesses say the man who died, and the suspect, are both related and live in the same house.

Police have not provided any suspect information at this time and say they are investigating to determine if the shooting was in self-defense.
