Jerseydale man suspected in string of property thefts in Mariposa

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Mariposa County Sheriff's Office said deputies arrested 35-year-old Ryan Osteen for possession of stolen property.

Investigators said they recovered several items believed to have been stolen from Mariposa residents, including: A Honda Quad, Husqvarna Weedeater and Chainsaw, Log Splitter, DK Mower, Craftsman Mower, Road Signs, various ID's and Social Security Cards, and Marijuana.

Deputies said the recovered property has been tied to eight local victims. Ryan Osteen was booked for the charge of Possession of Stolen property facing bail of $25,000.00. The investigation is ongoing.

The Sheriff's Office said while they were serving the search warrant, 35-year-old Alicia Osteen was arrested for suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance. Four of her children have been turned over to Child Protective Services.
