1 hospitalized after shooting in Merced, police say

MERCED, Calif. (KFSN) -- One person is in the hospital following a shooting in north Merced.

Police were called to Denver Avenue just after 9:30 Sunday night.

Officers found a person who had been shot in the leg.

Witnesses say a confrontation between the victim and shooter led up to the incident.

The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
