38-year-old man hospitalized after shooting in Merced

MERCED, Calif. (KFSN) -- A 38-year-old man was seriously injured in a shooting in Merced late Tuesday night.

It happened at the East Main apartment complex on G and Main Street before 9:30 pm.

Police said witnesses saw a fight between the victim and the suspect shortly before the shooting.

The suspect was last seen running from the area.

The victim was flown to a hospital and was last reported in critical condition.
