RICHMOND, Texas (KFSN) -- Authorities in Houston confirm they have found the body of a Richmond father of four who left home Tuesday night to show off a car for sale.

The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences identified a stabbing victim as 43-year-old Altaf Hussain Malik.

Malik's wife said someone had expressed interest about the 2009 Audi A8 the family was selling.

Quratulain Malik told Eyewitness News her husband finished dinner and rushed out to show the vehicle to the interested buyer.

Man missing since leaving to sell car

Houston police said Altaf Malik was stabbed to death on Thursday around 11:10 p.m.

His body was found covered in trash bags inside a dumpster at an apartment complex on Truxillo in Third Ward.
