Motorcycle rider dies in crash near Highway 180 and Brawley
A motorcyclist is dead after crashing into a fence on Whitesbridge Avenue near Highway 180 and Brawley.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The California Highway Patrol (CHP) said a missing man was found dead after, they believe, he drove his motorcycle through the end of a cul-de-sac just west of Fresno.

The CHP said on Wednesday afternoon a man ran out of gas on eastbound Highway 180, just east of Brawley Avenue. When the man called for help, he told dispatchers that he could see a motorcycle and a body down the embankment where his vehicle has stopped.

In a preliminary investigation, CHP says it appears the motorcycle rider, 29-year-old Jose Madrigal of Fresno, was driving west on Whitesbridge Avenue when he ran through the barriers at the end of the cul-de-sac alongside the 180 Freeway. He was ejected and landed in the brush between the cul-de-sac and Highway 180.

Madrigal's family had reported him missing to Fresno Police on January 9th. He was last seen riding his motorcycle.
