Atwater shooting sends man to hospital

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Authorities say a man standing by his motorcycle was shot in Atwater on Monday night. It happened near the intersection of Willow Street and Olive Avenue.

Atwater police say the victim was talking with someone when another person walked up and fired several rounds.

The victim was hit once and was flown to a hospital in Modesto. Police say the victim is alert, and they have a person of interest they are investigating.
