FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- One person is recovering following an early morning fire in Central Fresno. It broke out around 5:30 a.m. Friday at the El Camino Court Apartments on Princeton near Hughes.

Firefighters say the fire started in the kitchen of one of the units, and they managed to prevent it from spreading. However, the fire did cause some smoke and water damage to other units, and some residents were forced to leave their homes because there's no power.

One person suffered from smoke inhalation and was treated at the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
