Atwater Police Investigating Assault on Elderly Woman

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Atwater police are investigating an assault on an elderly woman.

The attack happened Saturday on Fairway Avenue near Gateway Avenue.

Officers state that the woman was knocked unconscious. She woke up the next morning and realized some jewelry was missing from her home.

The victim was treated and released from the hospital. Detectives are investigating several leads.
