Ryan Weldon walks through the Valley in final days of 5,000 mile walk

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- United State Marine Corp veteran Ryan Weldon was walking on Highway 43 south of Corcoran on Wednesday as he looks to complete his journey in San Francisco in a few days.

Weldon is walking 5,000 miles to raise awareness for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and the high suicide rate for military war veterans. His journey started on the East Coast of Delaware in February 2015 and will end in San Francisco in a little more than a week. He has been traveling on the Great American Discovery Trail and documenting his journey on his Facebook page.
