FRESNO, Calif. -- Tulare Union High is reaching out the community for help in choosing a new mascot.

It's one of several valley schools that will soon have to replace their old mascot following legislation which banned the name Redskins, deeming it offensive to Native-Americans. Students, school staff and community members are being asked to choose from a list of options, which include: Braves, Legends, Sentinels and Tribe.

People wishing to vote can do so online until April 10.

The Tulare Joint Union High School district board of trustees will make the final decision sometimes before the end of the year.
