CUTLER, Calif. (KFSN) -- The owner of a Cutler food mart and gas station surprised Orosi High School this week with a $10,000 check. For Jack Mohamed, it's all about investing in the people who continue to support him.

"I figured that the people in the community are so nice to me and my business so I had understood the importance of giving back," he said.

The money is meant for the school's scholarship program. Ten graduating students will receive the gift next spring.

"I hope they do good for the community when they become successful."

Mohamed owns Cutler Food Mart and Jack's Gas & Deli. He was once a student of the man to his left, Mr. Beto Vaca, at Sanger High School.
