FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Since September, you could find gym goers of the Adventure Sports Complex in Northwest Fresno lifting weights, kicking the soccer ball around, and training to be a Ninja Warrior.

But, that will all soon come to an end.

The operators of the facility posted a message to their Facebook page Monday that reads in part, "We moved into the facility with the understanding that we could legally operate a gym at this location. We subsequently discovered that our understanding was not correct. Our business model does not support the estimated $50,000 cost to bring the facility into compliance with City of Fresno regulations. After careful consideration, we have made the very difficult decision to close the facility effective December 31, 2017."

In September the co-owners told Action News they were hoping to bring a one of a kind workout experience to the facility located at 4381 North Brawley, Suite 105. The complex featured everything from indoor soccer and personal training to an obstacle course.

They were planning to form bootcamp and indoor soccer leagues and wanted to offer fundraising opportunities for non-profits.
