Being more organized in 2018
If you're looking to get organized in the new year, local companies say they're already getting booked up.

If you are looking to get organized in the new year, local companies say they're already getting booked up. Mom of two Beth Gueringer is on a mission to get more organized in 2018.

Gueringer said, "When I walk into the playroom and it looks like it blew up, it stresses me out."

The working mom is not alone.

Cheryl Hattrup is the owner of Chaos 2 Organized and sees a boost in business this time of year. Cheryl helps Beth tackle the playroom.

Cheryl says if people want to get organized, first look around their house and then make a priority list of areas to work on.

"Teach people to bundle all their like items that's very very important and then find a spot for those like items. Then if they've got too many we have to look at downsizing," Hattrup said.

She says people should get rid of items they no longer use or are broken. Then they need a change of mind.

"They've got to change their way of thinking. So whatever they use they have to place back in the spot that they took it from."

The two take some of these methods into action. They look at getting rid of toys the girls no longer play with.

"We had all of the storage bins already but the labeling I think is going to be really really major in helping the kids know where to put things," Gueringer said.

She's now ready to start organizing other problem areas.

With fewer toys and stuff in her house, this mom is ready for a new 2018. Less time cleaning means more time with the ones she loves.
