Moped crashes after losing control on Highway 41 in Fresno, driver injured

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- An early morning accident Wednesday had traffic backed up on Highway 41-- it happened just after eight.

The CHP said a woman on a moped was going northbound on the 41 just north of Shields Avenue when she lost control and fell. She suffered head trauma and taken to a hospital.

Authorities said she was wearing a helmet.

Traffic was a standstill until the scooter was cleared.
