Amazon hiring ahead of fulfillment center opening

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- As crews make progress on construction for Amazon's new fulfillment center in Fresno the online retail giant is preparing to host a job fair.

The massive facility is being built near Central and Orange.

Amazon is expected to hire hundreds of people in various departments. A three-day job fair will allow applicants to meet with representatives helping with the hiring process.

The job fair is being held at the Doubletree Hotel in Downtown Fresno on Tuesday, January 16, through Thursday the 18th from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

When construction is complete in a couple of months the facility will ship books, toys, and electronics from there.
