FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fire officials are on scene investigating the cause of a house fire that forced six people to leave the home.
The flames broke out around 8 p.m. Saturday night in Central Fresno near Lamona and Rowell Avenues.
Officials say half of the home is destroyed, amounting to nearly $80,000 worth of damage.
Neighbors on each side of the home were using garden hoses to help stop the flames before fire crews arrived.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
