Volunteers in Lemoore come together to help feed those in need

LEMOORE, Calif. (KFSN) -- Organizers of God's Bread Box in Kings County put together food boxes for families that struggle getting food on the table.

The food is supplied by the Fresno Food Bank.

Organizers say they serve about 215 families each month and are always looking for more volunteers.

God's Bread Box CEO, Ancy Stebbins said, "We're actually 100% volunteer organization, so we look for volunteers all the time. And right now we have a number of them that come from the Navy and they're absolutely great, we love our Navy volunteers very much. And there's room for others as well."

Food boxes are offered the last Saturday of every month at the Christ Church Anglican Mission on 19th Avenue.

All you need is a driver's license or picture ID and a utility bill with a Lemoore or Strathmore address on it.
