Police say they received a shot-spotter call around 8:30 Sunday night, two homes just a block apart from each other had been shot at.

One near the intersection of Fillmore and Woodrow, where police say there was a man inside at the time of the shooting.

The other home is on Fillmore and Baker. Police say this one was shot multiple times, two adults and two children were inside when it happened.

Lt. Steve Card of the Fresno Police Department said, "This particular residence has been shot up before on a prior incident, within the last year and we are looking at possible connections with family members who may have been related in street gang."

According to police, both homes have been shot at in the last year and they believe both shootings may be connected and may be gang related.

Authorities are still investigating to see if the shootings are related to other drive-bys that have happened this year. In fact, you may remember just last Sunday there were two.

Police say they will be beefing up security in the area and also want the public's help.

If anyone saw anything in the neighborhood they are encouraged to call the police.
