Highway 198 closed in both directions near Ben Maddox after Propane truck overturns

VISALIA, Calif. (KFSN) -- The California Highway Patrol and Visalia Police are on the scene after a propane truck overturned and some propane leaked from the tank.

The incident happened on westbound Highway 198 near Ben Maddox Way. All lanes are closed in both directions. Authorities say the propane tank was leaking but only a small amount escaped.

The cause of the crash is unknown at this time and authorities have not said when they expect the road to reopen.
