Police make several arrests in prostitution sting in Central to East Central Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Police conducted an operation to stop prostitution in Central to East Central Fresno. Home and business owners in areas of Belmont Avenue have complained about prostitution.

Officers made several arrests with subjects ranging from 15 to 58 years old. The majority of the suspects arrested Wednesday were found to be on court-ordered probation and/or had warrants related to prostitution.

Subjects contacted were provided with resources to help them get out of the sex trade.

Two juveniles were detained and placed in child protective services.
