MADERA, Calif. (KFSN) -- Madera Walmart announced on Facebook in late January that a Dunkin' Donuts location at the store was under construction.

The location used to be a McDonald's but now is being transformed into the well known and loved coffee and doughnut shop.

A store manager did not have too many details about the Dunkin' Donuts opening but said it could happen as soon as March.

Davy Mcintosh was at Walmart with a program called "Community Integrated Work Program". He explained he's never had Dunkin' Donuts before but has heard nothing but good things about the chain.

"I'm excited, I'm excited they are going to have a Dunkin' Donuts here at Walmart," he said with a smile on his face. "I'm so happy... I am very blessed about it".

Barbara Deleon, an aid for CIWP, could not agree more with Mcintosh.

"I'm excited. I like donuts, I try not to eat them too much but I do like them," she said. "I'm excited they are going to open one here."

Renee Brooks has been to Dunkin' Donuts before and she looking forward to getting a cup of their coffee, saying it's fresh.

"I think it's great," she said.

Brooks said she loves apple fritters from Dunkin' Donuts, however, she was not sure if the chain still sold them.

It is unclear when the actual location will open and how many jobs this will provide for the area.

A quick search on the Dunkin' Donuts website revealed that there is not a spot to apply to Madera location.

Once this location opens up it will be the second Dunkin' Donuts in Valley. The first location was in Hanford and employs approximately 75 crew members. The company has more than 12,200 restaurants in 45 countries worldwide.

Back in 2015, Dunkin' Donuts announced that it plans to expand and open up locations in Fresno, Clovis, Visalia, and Tulare. However, no word yet on those potential locations.
